Long-distance move from Virginia to South Carolina

I'm not sure what this field is for.

This is a GREAT company to use!!  I did all my homework on what a good moving company should do and they did everything to a tee and greatly exceeded my expectations. I had heard a number of terrible moving stories so I was very careful to research everything and ask a lot of questions. The Eureka staff was professional, helpful, engaging and wonderful to work with from my sales person to my driver and his team of movers. I was so excited about the service I received that I sent a letter to the president and wanted to also post this so you know that you are using a company that has integrity and will do exactly what they say they will do. They took great care of our belongings when they packed them and when they unpacked them.  They tore everything down and wrapped them really well and then set everything back up very quickly. They gave me a binding quote (as they were suppose to) and the acutal amount ended up being a little lower because we didn't use all the packing materials they estimated!  How often does that happen?? I would absolutely use them again in the future but hopefully I won't be moving anytime soon!  You can see more details about my move in the attached letter.

Long-distance move from Virginia to New York

Eureka Van & DStorage-Pack & Move: VA to NYC.

As a very experienced and particular mover, I really did my homework when I selected Eureka.  I was more cost conscious than I'd been before and also knew that logistically, this move would be challenging.  We were moving from a very large home on the Potomac River to a two bedroom apartment in the busiest area of New York City (pickup to delivery time was 2 days).  Many of our items were fragile and required experienced, knowledgable movers.  Some of our things would be moved to a condo and storage elsewhere in Virginia and some of the things from there then moved elsewhere.  There were many potential pitfalls.   I did a lot of homework - going so far as not only to do extensive Internet (blog) & Dept. of Transportation research but also actually went to visit facilities and meet the management.  Eureka was extremely professional and welcomed my level of scrutiny as they were confident that their warehouses, staff and reputation would impress me.  They did. My movers did everything in a timely manner and nothing was damaged.  They were courteous and so professional.  The poor movers arrived in NYC on a very rainy day and my apartment building would not allow their van to use the loading dock.  Our Columbus Circle location required them to go above & beyond, unloading our things, protecting them from the rain and somehow getting them first to our building then up to our high-rise apartment - all safe and sound.  Our Salesman, Steve Guyton, saw us all the way through as did Jose Garcia & Noel Martinez, our movers.  They exceeded our demanding expectations, all within budget ($8500).  We are very grateful and do not hesitate to recommend them.

Local move within Virginia

Excellent.

These guys were awesome!  I must say that I was very anxious about " moving day" because we were moving to a brand new four level town home and I have extremely nice furniture.  My salesman Steve Guyton was extremely knowledgeable when he came out to my home to give me my estimate.  By far, the most important thing to me was that I have no damage to my furniture as well as no damage to my new home.  Steve informed me about insurance and my options regarding additional insurance for my move.  I decided to take out an additional policy that was "full valuation" or "replacement value" on my goods.  On moving day,  The Eureka crew actually arrived about one half hour earlier than I had anticipated.  John (Eureka's operations MGR) had called me a day earlier to tell me what time the crew would arrive and to make sure that everything was packed to my satisfaction.  George(the driver), Geronimo, Carlos and Noel all introduced themselves, had on Eureka T-shirts, and were very polite.  Before they started, I actually gave them each a twenty five dollar tip  (as an incentive) and stated to" please be careful with my furniture and please watch my walls, wood floors and especially the sprinkler system posts that are present on the ceilings of my new home."  George assured me that they were" trained professionals" and not to worry about anything.  George then proceeded to write a descriptive inventory about my furniture,  and explained that while he was doing this the crew would be pad wrapping and shrink wrapping my furniture for protection.  I could see right from the beginning that the guys were very experienced, prompt, and efficient.  About this time, I received an emergency call from work and had to actually leave my residence.  I notified George, and instructed him to call me when they finished loading and were at my new destination address. Again, he reassured me not to worry about anything.  When arriving at my new home George, Geronimo, Noel and Carlos had the doors open to the moving van and were ready to go!  I still had not resolved my emergency at work, so I walked them through the new townhouse and told them where and how I wanted everything placed.  The guys didn't blink an eye when I said the master bedroom and washer and dryer were going up fifty stairs with turns to the fourth level!  I trusted these men enough to leave them alone at my new place so I could get back to work.  When I got back home that evening I was amazed that that had placed everything excatly where I asked them and there was not the first scratch on my furniture or walls.  I cannot thank these guys enough for the professionalism and honesty.  I would recommend Eureka Van & Storage to anyone.
